Step 1: Creating an AI Chatbot
The first step after signing up for a 14-day free trial is to access the back end dashboard in Stammer AI. This is where you will be able to see all the options such as “my chatbots” and “create a new chabot”. These are the only two options that we need to look at right now. Click on the “create a new chatbot” to start with the process of creating a new ai chatbot.
Once you click on it you will land on the page where you can see a lot of different information and things you can customize such as name, display name, system prompt, etc. Just ignore all the things above “add chatbot details box” as those things will be changed later down the line, we just want to focus on the main things such as:
- Name
- Display Name
- Initial Messages
- Conversation Starter
- Popup Type
- Popup Delay
- Base System Prompt
Those are key things we need to adjust first in order to create our first ai chatbot. These are simple things. In terms of name and display name feel free to use something creative or the name of your business. In terms of other option feel free to leave those as they are.
The main thing that we need to change here is the base system prompt, spend a bit more time on it as it will make or break your AI chatbot. Base system prompt is just a set of instructions that you are providing to the ai chatbot.
Step 2: Configuring Advanced Settings
Next step is to configure advanced settings within our chatbot. There’s not a lot of things to change here other than a few things such as “model version” and “temperature”. The model is simply a type of chat gpt that we are going to use (a new one or an older model) and the temperature is how unique your bot will respond to your customers. The higher the temperature the more creative the output is going to be. Keep in mind that for most ai chatbots just a little higher temperature will work fine, don’t overdo it.
From there you can click on the blue button below that says “Create Chatbot”. This will create a new chatbot and you will be able to access it by going to the Stammer AI dashboard and clicking on “my chatbot” tab on the left side menu. From there click on the “eye” icon on your chatbot that you have created. This will open up a new dashboard where you can explore even more features and options for your chatbot which is amazing.

Now that you are in the Stammer AI chatbot dashboard you can adjust many other settings and features. Most important thing to do is to test your chatbot by sending a few messages, feel free to send some advanced messages to see how your chatbot will respond to it. Additionally if you are satisfied with your ai chatbot you can click on the “get embedded code” to get a link that you can use to add this bot to your website.
The most important thing here is to train better responses and build a knowledge base. Click on the knowledge base to access it and from there you can add multiple different documents or data points such as:
- Text
- Files
- Websites
- Q&A
Those data points will provide your chatbot and train it with enough information to handle all objections and questions from your customers and clients. You don’t need to fill out all these data points, you can just fill out one, it’s entirely up to you how you will structure this for your own chatbot.
Appearance is the second most important thing (at least for me). This is crucial if you want to have the same colors as your website. You can change the chat widget colors as well as the banner color (Where the display name is) and other elements of the ai chatbot widget.
